Utilizing the Doc Component in Quely


Quely's Doc Component, is a versatile tool designed for creating and collaborating on text-based documents directly within your sessions.


It offers a dedicated space for real-time collaborative writing and content generation.


1. Enabling and Accessing the Doc Component


Before you can use the Doc Component, it must be enabled for your current session.


1.1. Enabling the Doc Component:

  1. Navigate to the "Components" section within your Quely interface.



  1. Locate the "Doc" component among the available options (such as "Highlight," "Estimation," and "Diagram").
  2. Click the checkbox associated with the "Doc" component to enable it.
  3. After selecting, click the "Save" button located in the bottom right corner of the Components section to apply your changes.



1.2. Accessing the Doc Editor:
Once enabled and saved, the "Doc" component will appear as an expandable section within your main session interface.

  • Click on the "Doc" section header to expand it and reveal the integrated text editor.


2. Using the Doc Component


The Doc provides a straightforward interface for creating and editing text content.


2.1. Adding a Title:

  • Upon opening the Doc component, you will see a placeholder text "What's the title?" at the top of the editing area.
  • Click on this area and type in the desired title for your document.


2.2. Entering Document Content:

  • Below the title area, there is a large, blank text input field.
  • Begin typing your document content into this field.


The Doc Component is ideal for drafting notes, creating outlines, writing reports, or any other text-based content where real-time collaboration is beneficial, allowing team members to contribute and edit simultaneously within the context of their session.



Pro Tip: Use Doc alongside Highlights and Estimations to keep written context side-by-side with decisions and action items.
